Fauna

These pieces are inspired by wildlife, creatures I’ve seen in real life and ones only seen in books but long to see in person.

Two of the pieces take their forms from species of Bower birds that create incredible architectural structures to attract a mate. Others take their form from deep sea creatures that drift around in the darkness.

There is an abundance of amazing creatures and so many that are endangered or close to extinction, disappearing because of man’s destruction. I want to bring my love and fears for wildlife to my work.
