Although most of my work is inspired by nature I also have an interest in customs and traditions.

My interest started with the rituals of Britain - festivities like May Day and well dressing- traditional crafts and industries like fishing, smoking and straw work. Later I became fascinated by indigenous cultures and their traditions.

So many of these ways are becoming lost or forgotten, either dying out are being destroyed. This is my way of remembering.
